When doing home improvements for the sole purpose of increasing the value of the home for resale, do some research and find out how to spend the least amount of money for the most increase in value. Basically it is not worth the stress and effort to do a bunch of home improvements if you end up not increasing the value of the home.

Give an old luggage rack a chance to shine by turning it into a low cost, but effective side table in your living room. Take the glass from a large picture frame and secure it to the luggage rack with permanent adhesive. Stack a few books and a lamp, and you have yourself a nice side table.

Make sure to assess your needs for equipment and supplies, getting all that you need before you start your home improvement project. The last thing you want to do is get to the middle of a project only to find that you need to stop and get more supplies or equipment to finish appropriately.
